Ferrari California... Updated 04-12-10

G'day guys! It's been quite a while since I've built anything. I've been on an extended hiatus from modelling & needed to get back into it & build something before this year ends.. Most memebers know me from the Muscle car forum/section, because my main interests are Mopars, but I needed a break from them & needed a fresh outlook on building, particularily something other than a Mopar. So here I am, re-invigorated & raring to go!
I had this, along with many other foriegn exotics, in my stash & decided to give it a crack, doing something a little different. This is where I'm at with the Cali'... The body has been fully wet-sanded, polished & waxed. I used Testors ( air-brush only ) Titanium for the roof, engine bay, side grills & rear fascia. Body is Auto shop mixed Hemi Orange. I think it's worked really well? I know it's not traditional but it's a "model" ?
Wheel/Tyre combo' are Aoshima 20in after-markets, along with the disc brakes ( drilled )
Oh yeh, I forgot, I filled in the 2 body lines on both rear quarters. I thought they didn't need to be there because all they did was break-up that beautiful rear-end ?
Some pics....
Cheers Cliffo ?
