Howdy all:
I am building the MPC reissue of the 72 GTO and its headlights are "promo-style"--instead of being clear plastic the headlight lenses are molded into the chrome trim.
I think it would look better if I replaced the chrome lenses with clear plastic somehow.
What I was thinking: carefully (!!) drill out the existing lenses, back the "new holes" with .010 plastic, paint the backing chrome silver (Testors Enamel is pretty good) and then get unused clear plastic lense cover from the parts box (in fact, I'd better make sure I have x4 parts box lenses before starting any of this!)
Does anyone have experience with this or other suggestions? Is there a tutorial or something somewhere I can refer to?
Thanks in advance....
