Hi gang. I've been at this build for awhile now and thought I should tell the backstory and post a few pix. I've always wanted to build a F/A Fiat, ever since my older cousing dropped his original issue DD Fiat on the floor and it went into a hundred pieces. This was probably when I was 8 or so. He was so ticked, he kicked the bigger parts under the bed. Well, alwyas one for a challenge, I scavenged up all of the pieces I could find and put it back together. Thjis was my first attempt at modeling and I was hooked.
I started with the Wild Willy Borsch kit and a Double Dragster Fiat body. I used the 392 engine from the WWB kit and scratch built an all metal working steering straight axle along with a seat and tinwork made from printing plate. It is fully plumbed and wired. Machined rims are on order so the ones posted here will be updated when they are done, hopefully next week.
The HOK Tangelo paint has been purchased and will be applied once I'm certain the rear wheel well openings won't require more trimming and that will be dependent on the wheels when they arrive. I've made up the decals and just need to finish the Illustrator file and get it sent off to the printer.
There's still a bunch of small stuff to do as well so please stay tuned and as always, comments welcomed.
