Thrustmaster has a new racing game accessory and wouldn’t you know it, it’s as cool as the other side of the pillow.
Aptly named the Thrustmaster Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition, the racing peripheral is an 11" replica of the Ferrari 458 Italia?s wheel, providing gamers a unique interactive driving experience unlike anything they’ve ever seen before. The genuine leather steering wheel has been replaced with a rubber-coated wheel, but everything else remains the same - albeit replaced with buttons instead of the usual controls - including the Engine Start button and the turn signals. Even the sequential paddle shifters are also present and finished in brushed metal.
The accessory is also adaptable to riders of all sizes because it’s extendable, has an adjustable height, and an adjustable steering column. Heck, it’s also portable and foldable, allowing gamers to stow and move the peripheral anytime.
Finally, Thrustmaster also announced that the Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition comes with what it’s calling the Global Vibration System, a program that simulates the actual vibrations that come from driving an actual race car.
Impressed yet?
The Ferrari Vibration GT Cockpit 458 Italia Edition is compatible with the XBox and PC, and is scheduled to hit stores in October with a retail price of $299. Sure makes for a nice little early Christmas present, right?
