Revell's mainstreamers.

Hi folks!

I just saw pics of the IHobby expo on another tread, and it seems that Revell has found the way to sell lots of models with a same tool!! Withoug brigning us straight reissues like usual!

I just went to my LHS yesterday and i saw thw new 1972 Oldsmobile custom with uptop, first i didn't want to buy it because i didn't need another one, i already have the Hurst/Olds... But a closer look, reveals that this kit is not a 442 but a mainstreamer Cutlass Supreme.

So i decided to buy it, because it's another trim level, i would have not bought it if it was a 442!! Not only for the top... But with another hood, decals, engine parts and of course the optional up-top.. I give it a go!!

I saw on the show pics, that Revell will release a reissue of their 1969 Chevy Nova, but this time without the SS trim, with COPO hubcaps... Maybe a COPO edition!!! I need two to complete correctly the Ynekos i bought last year!!

So, with the same model kits molds, they put some extra parts to build alternate trim versions, they finally listen to modelers, and foud the way to make some extra money from a tooling, and it can only be good for our hobby!!

I can't wait to see these ones!!

Mike...
