Well gentlemen,
I dug this vintage kit at an old hobby shop whilst working in KSA.
This is the original issue of the 1/24 Tamiya Toyota Celica Longwheel-Base Turbo. Actually, decals show their age.
A straight forward build, knowing this comes from a snap-loc motorized model.
Painted Tamiya blue, with clear coating over the decals, followed by delicate polishing.
I painted the headlight yellow to simulate 80's racing.
True to its tradition, this Tamiya kit is quite sharp with little flash and mold lines.
You will however notice the motorized origins with components to place an electric engine and batteries
Love the wheels, wide and authentic.
